This is a sweet vintage print from the 1940's titled "The Guardian" along with the copyright symbol and number 5612. It shows a cute young girl walking through a forest with her trusty Saint Bernard by her side. A squirrel is at the upper left. She looks a little nervous. At the lower right is the signature in the plate of the American artist Hy (Henry) Hintermeister (1897-1972). The artist was well known for his work for several calendar companies. Below his name is "© C. Moss, 19__, Litho in USA." I believe it is 1940.
It is in a dark blue and gold wood frame with glass, a cardboard backing, and a wire for hanging.
