This is a chromolithograph with rich colors of a dog near his bowl. It is referred to as "There's No Place Like Home." It was done by the British artist Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873). The artist was well known for his paintings of animals, especially horses, dogs, and stags.
It is in an Eastlake style layered frame. It has an outer layer of black, followed by the brown sponged layer, black again, gold, and an ornate inner gold border near the old glass. It has a cardboard backing with a wire for hanging.
