Boy with Poppy by Vincent Irolli

  • The colors are lovely in this vintage print of a young boy with a poppy flower in his mouth. It is signed in the plate at the lower right by the Italian artist Vincent or Vincenzo Irolli (1860-1942). The artist was known for his unique style of brushwork which is even apparent in his prints. At the lower left is "© John Drescher Co., N.Y.", publisher in business in the early 1900's.

It is in a lovely carved wood frame, with glass, a cardboard backing with partial dust cover, and both a wire and hook for hanging.
