This is a charming chromolithograph of two dogs. The dogs are dressed in hats and one has a pipe. It is titled at the lower left "Comical Dogs" and is by the British artist Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873). The artist was known for his paintings of animals, especially dogs, horses and stags.
It is in a black and gold wood frame. It has glass, an old cardboard backing that looks like a movie advertisement, and a wire for hanging.
Size: The frame measures approximately 7 3/8" tall and 8 1/8" wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 6 3/4" by 7 1/2".
