This is a pair of antique cast iron Native American Indian Chief bookends.
Each bookend measures 7 inches high by 4 and 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches deep.
The pieces are heavy solid cast iron and look to have the original paint.
Each Chief bears a "swastika" emblem necklace dating these pieces prior to the 1930s when the emblem took on a completely different meaning.
These bookends where popular at the turn of the century through the 1920s and probably date from around the 1900s.
