This is an antique Victorian EAPG bulb forcing vase.
I believe the pattern is called "whirling star" or "cambridge near cut" .
These vases were used to force spring bulbs such as hyacinth and daffodil and were very popular throughout the Victorian and Edwardian era.
This piece is 8 inches high with a 3 inch diameter mouth. There are no chips or cracks but there is some clouding in the stem commensurate with age.
The top edge has a thumb print scallop and the stem is stippled which is a hallmark of the era.
This is a great piece for the collector or for the gardener!
