Am Lee jewelry is mid-century at its prettiest - their distinctive style is noted for its delicate curls of silver filigree. The curl on these earrings rises from an oval of faceted polished hematite. A tiny teardrop rhinestone hangs from the bottom; this is an unfoiled stone in an open-backed setting. Earrings measure approximately 1/2 x 1-1/4 inch. Previously owned and in excellent condition. Screwback findings with "Am Lee Sterling" on the screw knob. Metal is very bright; it looks like it has been plated to keep it from tarnishing. We're not sure exactly how old these beauties are; the Am Lee mark dates from 1946 but these could be from as late as the 1960s. Excellent condition; they look like new. A lovely find - elegance that's never out of date, and a real prize for a vintage jewelry collector!
