Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

Well, just when I think I've heard it all, I come across something else to worry about in the Antiques/Vintage quest. I admit I don't get out much, so I've never seen an antique show with shelf after shelf of Purpled glass. I'm not sure I've ever seen even one piece. But I'll be watching for it now.

So I'm wondering if any of you have ever seen this? It's all new to me. . .

I love the insulator colors, too, but I've never seen a purple one. That's pretty special!

I just posted a discussion on glass insulators and included a pic of my purple one :-)
Where have I been with this altered glass? I have never heard of this before. Thanks so much Deer Path
Vintage for this awareness article!

Sassydogs your grandmother's bottle tree makes me want to set one up. Not for the spirits, but just to be creative and interesting. Reminds me of something my grandma would do too.
I have a "glass windowsill" Here's a picture of my bottles, all of which are over 100 years old.

Wow, Irish, that's a great collection! They look great on a windowsill with the light coming through them. How long have you been collecting them?
I've been collecting them for about 3 years now. I have old pink and aqua glass bottles also. I've listed the blue bromo bottles in my shop though.
Great info. I love the bottle tree idea. I love colored glass but just have a few pieces of newer items. Apparently, my friend thinks I love colored glass too, lol!

I just sold these for $20. to a friend. I never posted them here because I was not sure they were old. I really love the idea of a bottle tree. I love colored glass and that window with the blue glass is delicious! Lilli
