Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

My husband brought home a wall hanging that is a bronze (I think) little girl's hand.  It has markings on the bottom that say E Cappua 9 1866 Goupil.  Jeanne is also written in small script before Goupil.  My husband got it from a client of his who is moving into an assisted living facility and his wife was an artist.  Does anyone have any advise on how I can find out the value of this or if it is even an old piece?

Wow... this is very nice indeed. How heavy is it? Can the owner give you any info on it at all?

It isn't very heavy.  It his hollowed out.  It really looks like a true casting of a baby's hand.  I'm just wondering if it is a family heirloom and what the markings signify.  My husband is unable to ask any questions of the owner.
