Do you have any idea how old it is? Are there any marks on it?

I just saw this post...your bracelet looks wonderful...I cannot tell from the picture, but I think it is English?...does that make sense?...can you tell us the history of where you acquired the bracelet...?

I see the lion rampant on the heart clasp...are the charms all marked?

yes i stay in scotland so presume its english, it was my grandmothers  thats all i know about it.

it has stampings on the padlock clasp and on the chain thats only stampings i can c thanks

Although I'm not an appraiser and I don't have your bracelet in my hand to examine personally, I think it is quite a "find",.  If it were mine, I would put a price of around $250.00 on it in my Ruby Lane shop.  Mostly in part because of the age and the quality of the charms.  You have a griffin, a moveable teddy bear, a Scottish Thistle, the unusual clasp and others.  I think one of the charms may have a military meaning.  It's a treasure for sure and if you want to sell it, you should go to a larger city and contact a quality jewelry dealer in order to realize top dollar.

Hi Kris!  The padlock is sterling, I can't make out anything except the lion passant.  But you can date the padlock at least, because it will have a date letter, and a city hallmark, so that will give you some idea of age.  There are some good sites online for identifying English sterling, or if you would like to send me a closeup of the padlock, I'll be happy to do it for you.  Looking at the marks, the lion, in the center indicates sterling, the two marks to either side of the lion will be the assay city and the date letter.  The marks above will be the maker's mark.  It's a lovely bracelet!

Quite old!, and  quite valuable!

Hi - LOVE the bracelet!

I have been out due to pneumonia and this reply will need to be brief.  Your clasp indicates Birmingham (anchor on far left), sterling (lion passant in the middle) and 1979 (semi-script letter e with 4 clipped corners and straight sides)  if the letter is a B it is 1976.

The teddy is a mechanical - if the bible opens, it is too and they fetch a higher price.  I could only see the closer charms as the back ones did not show in the photo.  The Welch Dragon and the thistle are quite sought after charms also,  The heavy, square links are unusual and would add to the value.  Check every nook and cranny - often Nuvo and Chim have makers marks on edges and these two makers are especially collectible.

Sorry but that's all I have in me for now - back to bed

PS - seriously consider keeping it a a memento of your Grams

England, early 1900's most likely.  Go to this site to decipher English silver marks: http://www.925-1000.com/british_marks.html

Most likely worth about $275 with all the charms, if they're all sterling
