The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

If you have a Fan Page please make sure you post this on YOUR page.

I posted it on ours and highlighted it.

Facebook now requires page administrators to pay to promote their updates if we want our content to be seen by our fans. If we do not pay to promote our posts, only about 10% of the members receive the updates on the Facebook home page.

To keep RECEIVING ALL POSTS FROM this page, please hover your mouse on the "Like" button near the page name. In the drop-down menu select "ADD TO INTEREST LISTS".

I heard about this several days ago.  Thanks for this reminder as I forgot about us!!! :(  Going to do now!

Thank you! I had heard about this, but never acted. I notice my "seen" count has been down for a few months now.

thanks for letting us no!

Thanks Lora!  I've shared your post on my fan pages! I've also started a list with vintage sellers, including the Vintage Village fan page, of course! Take care,  Diane :O)

I have heard this but cannot get it to show as you show when I hover over it.

I've noticed some pages won't show this option, I thought it was on my end. Wonder why that is

Thanks Lora, I posted it on my fanpage and hovered TVV's page. I will do so on my fan's pages too (in time).   I doubt anyone will "Hover" over my page, so does this mean I could be wasting my time if I post unless I pay?

Not sure Penny... I think the saving grace will be asking your fans to make sure they add you to their interest lists. FB knows folks are using them to promote and want a piece of the action basically but they will not outright ask you to pay for use of the fan page as a whole. This way they limit you but allow you in part to promote for free.

Ads for fan pages IMO aren't the way to go.

Ads to your shops are worth it. It gets traffic without a doubt.

I hope I did this right and I tried to go down through my list to do this to all my friends, I have found out just because I like someone doesn't necessarily mean i will get their updated posts...right?  I had to checkmark the Interest feed or someething  like that
