My grandmother had this peacock vase by Royal Haeger in her living room for as long as I can remember. She had it filled with large plastic dime store red roses and unfortunately, that's all my mother saw because as soon as my gram passed in June 2008, my mom tossed the vase along with the plastic roses in the trash. I was not a happy camper when I found out!
I've seen several of these peacock vases for sale, but the one I'm looking for has to be the Gold Tweed 22K gold pattern. I have the matching ashtray and the end table that it was displayed on, now all I need is the vase! And as soon as I find it, I'm buying some dime store red roses too.
Thanks,
Lisa

One of them is a long time Royal Haeger collector (who is downsizing and moving). It may be a week or so before I get back to this, and if you don't hear from me by Monday ... give me a nudge !!!
Cheers, Cathy

Permalink Reply by Suzy's Timeless Treasures on October 18, 2011 at 11:26am So after over a year of searching antique shops and internet sites, a couple of days after I posted this here, guess what turns up on eBay? My timing scares me sometimes! I didn't want to say anything so as not to jinx it, but I won the auction last night. Now all it has to do is arrive here in one piece. I'll let you know ;o)
I just found a great pair of peacock wall hangings at an estate sale that will go beautifully with the vase. My husband rolled his eyes when I showed him and I can't wait until he sees the vase too. Not only am I turning into a crazy cat lady (3 furry darlings), but now I have a peacock room. Love it!

Hmmmm, it's my understanding that you can't be a crazy cat lady until you reach the double digits! (So, I'm crazy! and evidently will be for some time as our youngest 5 just turned 1 -- anybody need a furry creature?)
