I tried to keep Teddy's coat fluffed out, but truth be told, it was easier when it was shorter and he still looked adorable.
Teddy also tried to eat my sofa and my kitchen table legs when he was teething, so if I were you I would keep an eye on your precious puppy so you still have a house to live in. LOL
Enjoy Molly,she is a cutie!

We had our first puppy ever 3 years ago and I also was amazed at the amount of work
involved. Like a human toddler, he put everything in his mouth and swallowed a few things before we
could get to him. 3 years later we have a wonderful companion, but there were times, in the past, I wondered if
we would survive his "teenage" 6 to 9 months!!!
Congratulations : )

I could never have a puppy, though:) I have three grown Bassets who keep me hoppin'. Perennial two year olds...and I never wanted kids, go figure;) Love them to pieces, though:) Congratulations! So happy for you:)

Permalink Reply by Purple Cow Antiques on July 15, 2011 at 12:37am I've always had English Springer Spaniels, and three we raised from puppies. We have the luxury of a very big fenced farm yard and the pups could always run off a lot of the extra energy! But....after I lost my precious Tucker in January we went looking for another pup. The breeders in the area didn't have litters due for a long time so I adopted a 1 1/2 year old little female whose family lost their house and lived with friends where Megan didn't fit in. Long story short.....she is awesome...but I can't leave anything at her height I value. She is a snitch! LOL....I find all kinds of things in her crate that have gone missing. I think it is her way of staking her claim to her place in the family. A crate is a good idea...they have a special "safe" spot of their own. And...lots and lots of chew toys!!!
Congrats on your new addition Lora. Dogs become true friends who never judge and always are happy to see you :=)

Permalink Reply by Graceful Antiques on July 16, 2011 at 1:37pm Ah, I could cry. Your puppy is identical to my Precious as a puppy. Same eyes for sure.
I had a best friend (dog) named Precious. She looked exactly like your Molly and her mom (no kidding was named Molly) and my dog also.
I had to put Precious to sleep after 14 years. She was the most loyal thing ever. Slept under my chair when I did my business since 2002 online.
Cocker/poodle mix.
