Hi every one in super crisis mode. kodak is closing and so far I can only find sites that will edit like shutter fly and piscasa 3 but none that will allow me to connect my pictures to the shops or anywhere else on line. Already tried gimp and same issue you can't down load your shots from there. I have windows 7 and looks like it has to be able to connect in the library and can't be a share systems folder which all of those seem to be.
Really need help fast. what are you using to download to the shops? Losing my mind! appreciate any help asap. kodak shuts down july 1st.
thank you thank you thank you!

Permalink Reply by Shari Basoff on June 20, 2012 at 7:35pm I'm so grateful to everyone for all this incredible help. While I have yet to test on a new listing. I have taken drips and drabs from ALL of your great suggestions and sherlocked homed my way to what I think (hope) will work. Used that Kodak for over ten years and will really miss it. It was for me one stop, pic's loaded directly there and great editing and easy to find organized folders.
I have really had to take a spin around what my windows 7 can and can not do concerning photo's. When Mary said she could create a folder in her pictures, in my case called my pictures I immediately tried that and even found that when I export the edited folder from piscaca3 ( I just learned I could) I can drop and drag that into a know dedicated ruby lane folder. I did test one shot in email and was able to locate what I needed.
So----fingers crossed! So busy figuring all this out and trying to stay calm! I have put off new listings. BUT- better to try and get it handled and may I say OMG to yet one more new thing to deal with right now. May I also say I could not have done this without the warm help of this great community.
Thanks so much
Shari

I began with Kodac Easyshare, then, switched to Picasa years ago...then, Google brought Picasa, but, I kept it anyway, and the Picasa3 is just an upgrade..and it's still free and so easy to use, you will love it
Best wishes, Linda

Permalink Reply by Shari Basoff on June 24, 2012 at 6:44pm Thank you Bruce. Plenty of editing places and now have 2. would love to eventually find something that is one stop like Kodak was. Now I have to edit in piscasa and export to my pictures where I had to create a lane shop folder and drop and drag them in. Kodak did that all in one step and helped to keep my business shots separate from my personal ones and so much easier to find. I will get used to it, have no choice.
Really appreciate your tip and time, regards Shari

Permalink Reply by Gizmos on June 26, 2012 at 9:58am All my editing is done in Iphoto. Any camera will automatically upload it's pictures to Iphoto. Sites like ebay at this time in some categories will only allow one free photo, so if you want to add other photos, you need to use html, and add them in the text of the listing .Photobucket works really well for that. Simple and easy. I also have picasa, but was not happy with how it worked, ( at the time had an older Mac) . I can't figure out flickr if my life depended on it, but do have photos stored there. Since you have a PC and evidently it does not come with photo editing software ( like Iphoto on a Mac) then you will need to might want to download some software like has been suggested by others in this forum. Best of luck to you!
