Seeking Passionate Pickers for
-Great American Pick Off-
Collectibles Competition!
The producers of a major cable network show are seeking “pickers” with the most honed hunting skills, the sharpest eye to determine trash from treasure, and the most effective negotiating chops to seal the deal.
This is a new show that transforms the cutthroat world of antiques and collectibles picking into a competitive game.
In every episode, antiques lovers compete in teams of two in a race to track down and acquire valuable items hidden along the back roads, barns, and forgotten corners of America.
The team with the most valuable loot at the end of the day wins the competition. They get to keep their lot of items and the lots of the other teams – it’s winner take all!
If you think you have what it takes to pick the most valuable treasures and get the best price, both you and your partner can fill out our online application at:
https://ccasting.wufoo.com/forms/untitled-antique-collectible-compe...
In our show, we take people from all walks of life on a mapped-out quest for treasure. Viewers will enjoy a show that has high stakes and is highly relatable. After all, you could have treasure in your own backyard.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Shops on February 22, 2011 at 7:06am Sounds exciting. My best to you Linda. Hope you win.
No way, now how could I do this in 5 hours if I had to move from location to location. I stop to look at everything and stop to chat with everyone talking about items.
I did get into this business though by winning on a TV show called Treasures in Your Home years ago.
I had 60 seconds to run around an antiques shop and pick the winning item.
Permalink Reply by The Vintage Jewelry Boutique on February 22, 2011 at 7:40pm OMG ...what an adventure for you Linda, I hope you get on the show !!!! It sounds so exciting, let us know all the details.. when & where.
Sandy, tell us more about your adventure !!! I would be just like you too, talking too much (lol) and checking out every piece, would loose the contest but I would make new friends.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Shops on February 22, 2011 at 7:54pm I picked out campaign banners. I had just gone to Washington in August and it was November when I won so I had just seen a display on flags and such at the Smithsonian. 60 seconds is not a long time.
Gave me the funds to start my business. Elvis car was there also. How fun.
I sounded like a country hillbilly on TV though. Practically scared me. I went on 2 different shows. John Burke was extremely nice.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Shops on February 22, 2011 at 9:11pm $10,000.00 first time and then went back for another round. Won $2500.00.
It took about 7 days in all. Nice hotel and air flights.
I figured it cost them about $32000.00 or so. Could be off.
Money long gone. I have a video of it but not sure it is online anywhere?

This is the first one. The Dec.2, 1999 with the Elvis car is where I came back the second time.
It was the first airplane ride for me at the time. I had to ride in about 7 before I was done.
sorry off track from OP.
