Please Help with this 5-Part Relish Tray

Does anyone know the pattern of this 5-part 13" Relish Tray. Fostoria has several very similar trays, but none with the silver embellishment on the edges or the exact pattern.

Does anyone know what the metal is? It never tarnishes. I think the piece is from the 1940s. Thanks!

I don't know who made this, but this is very, very pretty. The lacy silver metal trim really enhances the etched design. Don't think I have ever seen anything like this.

It does look like a Fostoria tray but a quick look though my Fostoria book by Weatherman did not show this pattern.

I wonder if this might be a Fostoria blank decorated by Lotus Co?

It is a Fostoria Mayfair relish tray.

Cheri, which Fostoria book did you look through? I've got the Fostoria Value Guide by Emily Seate which has a huge array of patterns shown in it. I'll have a look through if you haven't already :)

The silver metal is probably added by another company, I don't know that fostoria did any of their own metal work.

What I will look for (tomorrow cause I have to go out in a few) is the cut pattern, which might be Fostoria or might also have been done by an outside company.

The blank shape, undecorated, was part of Fostoria's Mayfair line.

the actual pattern is not yet ID'd.

As Catisfaction mentioned, the blank tray by Fostoria was called "Mayfair"

But the etch (it looks etched rather than wheel cut?) is what we are still trying to find

It really looks to me like a Fostoria blank that was then finished by the Lotus Decorating Co. Lotus did a lot of this kind of embellishment of the blanks from many companies.

I found the relish dish in "Elegant Glass Early, Depression, and Beyond" by Debbie and Randy Coe (3rd addition). The relish is on page 159 - Mayfair Fostoria. It is a 4 equal section relish & celery section. All the pieces are blank. I could not find the etching on this piece and no mention of the silver metal trim which is probably chrome? I also looked in the Fostoria Value Guide by Long and Seate for the etching pattern and couldn't find it. Fostoria did have serving pieces with chrome. From the picture, the silver decoration almost looks too thin for chrome, though.

Didn't see the etching in my Paden City glass book.

Thanks for the information. The "silver" does look very thin--the second picture in the group above is tehe tray from the bottom. The etching on the glass looks much more substantial than any of the Fostoria patterns. The Fostoria patterns--at least to me--look very delicate. Here's a bit closer look at the etching.

You know, now I'm not so sure that this is the Mayfair pattern. The Mayfair pattern has scallopes along the edge - maybe not all edges but at least some on other 5-piece relish dishes that I have seen. There are a few on ebay at the moment (not with the metal edge, though). All edges of this glass piece look straight. The silver metal has some scallopes.
