The Estate Lady! What to do with Parents Stuff!

For years I have been asked about family heirlooms and what to do with parents accumulation. I have found a wonderful book to help others. The book is The Boomer Burden by Julie Hall the Estate Lady. Step by step how to approach parents and move forward.

It really is a fabulous important book. I am buying each of my children this book and putting it with my inventory lists.

This book is not just about collectibles and antiques and what to do with them but a step by step procedure.

It also talks about how to prepare parents for alternatives when they are not able to live alone anymore.

How to protect them and their assets.

All kinds of good information of how to proceed with siblings before, during and after steps are needed. Getting proper legal help like Power of Attorney, Probate proceedings etc.

A bit amiss about vintage clothing but it was written awhile back.

For everyone remotely a baby boomer or loved one of a baby boomer which is pretty much us all.

Reading the book now, it's a fast read but has valuable information. Having been through this with my grandparents and dad a few years ago, it has excellent advice for preparing now for the day when your loved ones are no longer here. Thankfully, I inherited my interest in accounting from my grandfather who, even though he only went to school through 8th grade, kept meticulous records of their finances. He made it easy for me to take over for them when they needed help, I appreciate that even more now after reading some of the stories in the book.
