The Vintage Village Edge... :)

Hi Everyone,

I would like to discuss what the advantage is to being here in our village. :)

When folks join, most are a little confused because they have never been on a Social Networking platform site like Ning. They are not quite sure what we do here... :) It's a big learning curve. But then again so is FaceBook, but if you take time to learn how to use it, you don't know how you lived without it! ;)

After a little exploring, and poking around, so many people are just overwhelmed at how much information is here and are thrilled to be able to do so much here. Buy, sell, research and just have fun getting to know like minded people ... :)

I want to focus this discussion on the members who are on the fence about whether or not they want to use our site to promote their AVC items.

One of the major major major issues for Online Sellers is TIME.

Selling Online is time consuming and no matter how organized you are, there just isn't enough time to take advantage of all the places and ways to promote yourself.

As we have grown over the last 4 years, the point I try to get across, is that by being right Here... you can save yourself so much time and effort and that if you use all the tools here, you can significantly cut down on the time you spend trying to promote yourself, all by yourself, without any help. When it comes to promotion, there is power in numbers.

There is great potential for making this the absolute number one place on the internet for AVC items.

Think about it.

We have sellers from RubyLane, eBay, Etsy, Artfire to name only a few joining forces and coming to one central location to promote. That's huge.

How does that benefit you as a seller?

The more people that use the site as a promotional tool the more traffic we get and the more views your items get which increases your odds of making a sale. It's a very simple domino effect.

I also like to compare it to having a store in a Mall.

If you have a shop in a Mall versus a shop all by itself (even on the busiest of highways) you don't have to work all alone in promoting it.

The attention you can generate for yourself multiplied by all the other sellers in the Mall increases traffic to everyone.

The whole concept of Social Networking is thriving because of this simple domino effect.

You can either spend time trying to Socially Network alone or in a small group or belong to a site that connects you to ALL the methods for promoting and get you seen by thousands each month! You decide... :)

I will be back with some numbers and other points as to why you should be here as often as you can, there are too many points to post all in one opening statement.

I want to make sure you understand just how important it is for you to be active here.... so yes....this will be a sales pitch but one that ultimately helps you, the seller.

For the last 30 days we received 52% of our traffic from Search Engines

87.95% of that came from Google

How can I use VV to promote all from ONE place

Here is a screen shot of a photo for example.

Not only can you Tweet, Like to FaceBook, Add to Google +, you can also open the icon to the left (of the human figure) which then opens this window which allows you do do ALL of your promoting from right here!!!!!

Want to save time... here is the answer... :)

And you can do this with any thread you begin or reply to ... :)
