Last week I started a new series on the Flipping Vintage blog called the Success Series - my first post was about setting goals and dreaming BIG. You can read the entire post here:

Tomorrow I am going to be doing part 2 of the setting goals series, talking about what my dream business looks like, as well as tips and strategies you can use to help make your goals a reality.
I would LOVE to hear what everyone's goals are for their business - what your "big picture" dream business goal is, as well as the smaller goals you have set to keep yourself moving forward... And of course if you have any tips and tricks you all have discovered that worked well for you, feel free to share those too!
Thanks!

I also want to start blogging. I'm in the process of setting up a new site outside of Etsy so we will see how that goes.

Permalink Reply by Catisfaction on January 19, 2012 at 12:39pm My big goal is to make it pay :P I quit my job January 2nd and I'm going it alone with the business.
My other goal is to figure out Quick Books
And to get rid of a ton of old inventory either by ebay, flea markets or donating.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Antiques on January 19, 2012 at 2:21pm My dream business. I have been treading along for 10 years selling on this internet in Feb. 2012 and in real world since 1996.
My dream would be to have a photographer, 3 models (tall, petite and a plus size,) someone to upload and write descriptions, a bookkeeper, a packer for the sales and let me find treasures and possibly do shows. Oh and a major geek to do all the social site work for me.
I want to get back to shows this year.
and/or a cottage shop in a sleepy community surrounded by B& B's and other tearooms, shops etc. with seasonal shoppers.
Where the sun shines every day and cool breezes blow and flowers bloom greatly and bluebirds sing and music plays softly in the background while all the shoppers line up to gasp at my gorgeous finds. We have cookies and tea and grab bags.
Of course all my inventory is wrapped carefully in pretty bags with bows adorned with my logo and stickers.

For now I am doing my sales tax and dreaming. ...
Permalink Reply by Mitzi - Flipping Vintage on January 19, 2012 at 10:49pm Oh that does sound like a wonderful dream business - definitely one worth working toward! That is the idea that really stuck with me - if you are going to work your tail off (which, lets face it, all of us online sellers do!) then why not be working toward what you really, really want? Why settle for less? Why believe more isn't possible? Instead believe that if you can conceive it your mind, then it is possible to make it happen! :) That's my new mantra, anyway! ;)

Permalink Reply by CAROLINABLUELADY on February 15, 2012 at 9:53pm Oh, I love Graceful Shops vision of the dream business. I want my shop right next to hers. I'll make the miniture banana muffins and plum tea. And, I'd like to add the sound of seagulls and waves lapping against the boardwalk.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Antiques on February 17, 2012 at 9:56am We could have a large swing on the boardwalk like at Charleston South Carolina has.
Gardenia, jasmine or lavender would be wafting in just right enough to not be overwhelming.
Wow, great minds think alike. Bascially the same dream here. Perhaps we can all be neighbors? :))

Permalink Reply by BWs Vintage Collectibles on April 17, 2012 at 11:29am Hello Mitzi! My goals include but are not limited to pretty little packages wrapped and labeled then organized into shelves instead of cardboard boxes! Further, my goal is to find a bookkeeping system that is user friendly for me!
I think I am spending way too much time with handwriting stuff....if I could only be smarter and wiser......
