I don’t know if this would help anyone else. I put it together for a reference for myself because I am always having to look up dates or words for reference. The beginning is pretty elementary but the rest I know I will use for dates and history reference for items I find. It does make searching for facts a bit easier.
TERMS
Antique:
Denotes an object 100 years old or more in antiquity world
of collecting The U.S. Customs first denoted it to be anything
made before 1830. It was later changed to anything over 100
years old.
Retro:
Means backward in time, used liberally in commerce to sell products.
Term used to describe something old finding a new use
in a different year.
Collectible:
Something of value under 100 years worth holding on to and collecting. The
worth is arbitrary and individually valued.
Art Nouveau:
Time in the turn of the 20th century using s curves and natural organic
movement in art
