lol I just read this to my husband and he said ... "What DON'T you collect???!"

I collect English tobacco cards. Everything else I collect (and yes, it's a lot of different stuff) I collect with the idea of selling it later.

But the tobacco cards, for the most part, I keep. Only duplicates find their way to my shops.

(excellent new group, Elsie love ... hope your holidays are proceeding nicely ♥_

I guess I collect early twentieth century magazines.....they are intended for sale but every time I get the tubs (plural!) out to sort I end up reading and then repacking them.  Love old magazines.   Like the "other" Karen :) most of my ephemera is for resale.....I just can't seem to part with those mags......

My husband wants me to start collection U.S. dollar bills. Fives, tens, twenties ... he's not particular.

I'm not a big collector really--don't get me wrong, I have lots and lots of stuff, but aside from books there's nothing that I feel I have to have many of.

But I do have a small collection of postcards starting. I sell them because I like them (don't always make a lot of money), but there are some I haven't been able to part with. Most of the ones I keep are early 1900s, some of them with bizarre flying machines or futuristic themes.

I collect (keep some and sell some) mainly postcards.  Anything between 1900 and 1970.  At first I thought the new postcards would be less interesting but actually they are more interesting as they are of places I have visited.  I also like collecting vintage greeting cards, trade cards, Valentines, maps and other ephemera.  I have some old magazines too.  I guess you could say I collect about anything.
I unofficially collect postcards, but I am inexplicably drawn to any old print (letters, scrapbooks, books, stuff I can read and photos).  I have little stashes of it around.  Eventually, I will sell most I imagine - except for my favorite post cards.
I collect Victorian and Vintage paper dolls. Not for sale, just enjoyment.
old railroad stuff, old legal documents, sports programs,  letters...
I once bought an estate that had a big group of WWII letters in it.  The lady was married twice, first to a airman who died in combat, and then near the end of the war to an Army sargent who also died in battle.   I read them all in chronological order....it was very sad.  I kept them together for a long time not knowing what to do with them and not finding any family members that were interested.   I finally gave them to a client who bought letters and was hoping to use them as a basis for a novel she was writing.   I wish now I had kept track to see if she followed through.

I collect postcards ... which started in the 1970s when my best friend was deployed in the Navy. We kept in touch that way for years ... now we're married, and have started collecting them together.

We have the idea that we'd like to have postcards of places we visit -- put them in an album, and then collect vintage postcards from the same place. We have some current ones from Niagara Falls, and I've found some older ones. It's a "vision" we'll fulfill someday.

One spot we have collected a few from is Mt. Rainier, some from the early 1900s, alongside current ones. It's fun to look at how a place has changed through the decades.

I like to collect old post cards. I will get one here or there when out in roam. I did go thrifting 1 day, and found an "old" scrapbook at the store. I got it for a reasonable for what was in it. Some old post cards, some old birthday cards, newspaper clipping of a child & some doctor, and it was amazing! I loved looking at all of it, and the book stays sitting on an corner end table I have:)
It seems we have a number of postcard collectors.  And to find an old scrapbook.  I am envious.  I love propping myself up at night on the bed and looking through my postcards.
