Hi Everyone, well I had my first sale on eCrater. Yay! But....not going so well. First it is from the UK and I have never had an international sale show up on Pay Pal in Euros (is this how it works with eCrater?). After I convert the amounts they are way off from the selling price and the shipping matrix did not pick up the correct weight evidently and only charged 1/4 of the cost to ship.
To make matters worse the patron asked me to send the item as a "gift" on the customs forms which I clearly state on my homepage I will not allow.
So I figure I will ask if they are still interested then figure out how they can pay me more to cover shipping? I'm not looking to have my first feedback be negative. I'm not sure eCrater is going to work for me:(
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

My store is new and when I attempted to participate I hadn't yet deleted items from Ruby Plaza that I was moving to eCrater (dummy me didn't know it was a no-no). I think that is why I was terminated, I wonder if there is any redemption. It looks like it offers for me to use a different "adsense" account by using a different email-but who's?

I enabled the AUD and GBP Currency. Do I put the same USD price in those areas when I list an item or do I need to convert them? Thanks for your insight!

Nope~~ you are all set. Place your USD amount in and in a few days (it varies), Ecrater will place an amount in there based on the currency exchange. And, don't fret when the real currency exchange and Ecrater's rate are different (you would notice that when you make a sale), it is close enough.
I look at it as a good thing...one less thing to worry about. :-)

Google AdSense is a paid advertising program I think. I don't know much about it tho! so I may be wrong..but I do know it is not the same as the attributions exemption for Vintage on Google Shopping feed....not sure if that is what you are referring to?

Permalink Reply by PenniLea's Vintage Places on June 27, 2012 at 11:26am Cheri Shops, yep I know they are seperate. I was just wondering what I did wrong to be denied both. I'm not worried about ASense, I am worried about an Attributes exemption. I have over 500 items to move off of Ruby Plaza and think I would benefit from the exemption. I don't know if I should give up and continue listing and not worry about listing upc's for things that never had them or things I can't find a upc for.

Permalink Reply by CheriShops - Admin on June 27, 2012 at 12:00pm I think just keep going Penni. Perhaps when you have more items listed there and if the majority are vintage they may grant the exception. They do deny it tho, I have heard, if you don't have a high enough % of vintage items in the shop. Mine are 90% vintage and so I got it first try
Not sure why they denied the AdSense tho? but trying to understand them is near impossible most of the time!! Maybe someone else who understands AdSense can shed some light there.
