Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

I think part of going 'green' is also about being sustainable.  I love buying second hand (retro, vintage) clothes but I also like crafting out of sustainable resources eg cards out of old (tearing off the front and reusing and revamping it), crochet (wool is sustainalbe), going to second hand stores and buying clothes that I can use the material in to create cushions, runners, table mats and jumpers that I can unpick to use the wool to felt etc) .... I also love antique furniture.

Sustainable is fun  and a bit of an adventure :-)

I completely agree, and my art and crafts are also made largely from reclaimed/recycled materials. I even get paint off Freecycle and use it in my projects. Sure, it saves me money...TONS of money, but it also keeps all of those things out of the landfill. Plus, it means that my handmades are almost always OOAK. What's not to love?

I was raised with an appreciation for antiques, which is why I sell them. I am completely in love with the items I have up for sale, and I want other people to find them and love them, too. Not only that, but the saying "They don't make 'em like they used to" is very true. That's why these antiques are around: They were built to last.

All of my personal clothing except underware and some shoes are from resale shops. Good will and The American Cancer Society Discovery shops. I also have a resale boutique that is stocked with items from these places. Upcycle is so great, one of a kind items that really represent my spirit. Green is my favorite color, LOL, really!
