The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

A carbon footprint is defined as a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide produced by a person, organization or state in a given time.  It is the measure of our impact on global warming.

What is yours??  You can go to many sites, but I chose "The Nature Conservancy" as they didn't ask any personal information like my email address.  You too can take this test at:

http://www.nature.org/initiatives/climatechange/calculator/

The result for my family of 3 was an estimated 53 tons of carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere per year.  Although they told me that was below the US National Average, it sounds mighty high to me.  It must be time to continue on my quest to do better.

Take the test, and let us know your score if you want.  We are all in this together :)

I took mine...I only submitted my personal info, not Tom's and mine. My number was 15, well below the national average...I know there is lots more I can do. I work at it every day.
That was fast and easy. Household of two here and we are also below the national average at an estimated 41 tons a year. It does sound high though.

Thanks for sharing the link.
Our household number is 42. Lower than the average, but from taking the test I see there are places where we can do better!
