The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

By default, your My Page automatically takes the theme and appearance settings of the network.

You can change the theme and appearance of your own My Page.

To change your theme, go to your My Page and click the "My Page" link underneath your profile photo.

You'll be taken to your My Page settings page.  Find the Appearance section and click the link to begin making changes.

You'll be taken to an Appearance page just for your profile. In the top portion of the page, you can browse through the themes currently available and test them out on your My Page.

You can further customize your page's appearance by changing the font and colors of the theme you've chosen. Select the theme you'd like to customize and scroll to the "Now, make it unique" section of the page.

You can drag modules around (Photos, Groups, Profile info etc.,) by hovering over the module until you see your cursor turn into a four sided arrow. Use this to drag the module into place. If the module is not permitted into a certain section, you will see a circle with a line in it like a do not enter symbol.

To make additional changes to your page's appearance, you can add your own CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets.  With CSS, you can make changes to your page's appearance that aren't available in the built-in theme settings page. If you're interested in learning more about CSS to customize your page, we recommend checking out W3C's CSS section and downloading Firebugto experiment.

To restore the default settings to your My Page, just click the "Apply (your network)'s Theme" button on this page.  Click "Save" at the bottom to activate your changes.

Thanks for the info!  I wondered how to move sections around on My Page.  Very helpful.

I was asked about what is "allowed" on your My Page and I will answer here for everyone... :)

You can use your page here to link to all the places you sell from and put links to Blogs or websites.

Think of your page as your shop window if you are a seller. :)

As long as the links don't go to some objectionable site then you can pretty much link what you like there.

Wonderful!  Me likey!!!

Thanks for the reminder, and for the instructions for some of these things Lora:) Sometimes we need them to help answer those questions that get tucked away in the back of our minds:)

How do you get the "live" streaming pictures on the top of Your Page? I don't really know what it is called but I don't know how to set that up. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

sorry I didn't see this hon... the slide show is something only the premium members get and if you are one then you can "Drag" the box that houses it to the top...

How do I remove the spam bot question and agreements text from my page?

Thanks!

The questions with a tiny lock are only seen by you and staff.... :)

You can drag the box to the bottom center or the bottom of the left side bar.

Hover over the box until you see a four sided arrow and then hold down the cursor and drag it to the spot you want.
