The Tip Jar

Hello Everyone.... :)

As you know The Vintage Village is a Free Community for anyone who loves Vintage.

Since we began, the site has grown in so many ways. It began as a labor of love and then blossomed into a very successful "Social Networking Tool" where sellers could promote their items via the Premium Membership.

Our Premium Membership fees do cover my cost of running the site but it does not come close to covering the funds we need to advertize effectively.

I take most of what I earn and put it back into the Village taking out inexpensive ads here and there.

I also rely heavily on the community itself for word of mouth promoting of the village and it's because of that word of mouth effort that has propelled the site into what it is today.... but we can do more... :)

I could raise the PM fees... but morally I feel I just can't.... it's just not the right thing to do at this point in time with our economy the way it is.

Instead, I decided to accept direct donations via the "Tip Jar"

This money will be used so that I can pay myself and take out real ads and maybe even pay folks to help me here.... :)

You can do the math yourself... THIS is how many PM's we have vs. how many members we have... :) You can see I am NOT getting rich here... :) And I am not looking to be Ivana Trump either. I just want to see the village fulfill it's potential.

So with a ton of hesitation because I hate asking for money when I know how much folks are struggling .... feel free to add to the "Tip Jar" if and when you are able... :)
