MYNOTERA is celebrating one year!

October 2010 marks MYNOTERA's one year anniversary. We are excited about all that we've accomplished this past year. It's been amazing to watch a dream grow into a reality, where even the bumps in the road are part of the excitement.

In all my networking, I have come across so many forums and posts about the changing landscape for the online seller. 10 years ago, one only needed to set up auctions on eBay and watch the money come in. 10 years later, everything's changed. The economy is not great and the market, in general, has been changed forever by the internet. Many treasures turn out to be not so rare after all with millions of people coming together to buy and sell. Still, the huge online market continues and many shops have closed to sell strictly online. There was a time when you could pick an entire neighborhood of antique shops and spend almost the whole day there and come home with a treasure. That seems to be gone, with only a few exceptions.

Now the "neighborhoods" are online. Whether it's the Vintage Village, or an online market place, or one's own web site, the treasure hunt continues!!  And in that spirit I wish all fellow online vintage and antique sellers the best wherever your hunt takes you.
