Just noticed on the listing form that there is a "new" block to indicate delivery confirmation. It defaults to None. But under the None are two more choices Signature Confirmation (if available) and Delivery Confirmation (if available).
I was just wondering if we will need to do a power update to change the choice if we do have delivery confirmation or where this will show on the item form. I didn't see it on my new listing.

Permalink Reply by Pearl's Parlor on March 13, 2012 at 7:35pm It shows up under "How will you package the item". It's where you show the weight and size of package. It is for domestic shipments only.
Permalink Reply by Charmed Life on March 13, 2012 at 8:02pm Hmmm. I just saw it.
I always ship everything with DC or SC, and I never charge for it.
If I click that button, will it now charge the buyer for it???
ooooh, Carol, where are you?

Permalink Reply by Suzy's Timeless Treasures on March 13, 2012 at 8:49pm I use fixed rates for both domestic and international packages so I am not seeing it as an option. I did see this in the listing notes to the right:
If you choose "Calculated" shipping for Domestic shipments, we can optionally add the cost for shipping confirmation, if it's available.
I agree that we need some clarification on this, please.
Permalink Reply by Ruby Lane on March 14, 2012 at 11:12am Hi Folks,
The ability to add delivery confirmation automatically to the shipping total for an item only works if you select Calculated Shipping for an item. If you select delivery confirmation the amount will be added to the shipping total if the information is available from the shipping service. If you do not charge for delivery confirmation then do not select this button unless the shipping service also provides delivery confirmation at no charge and this info is available. No amount will be added to the total but the text below the shipping amount will indicate 'delivery confirmation'.
If you want to see how this works and what it looks like on the page you can do a test. Modify the item and select Calculated Shipping and one of the delivery confirmation options available. Then go back to the item and view the shipping information for this item to see how it appears to the buyer. Then put the item in your cart and proceed to purchase the item but do not submit the PO for processing. If the shipping service charges for delivery confirmation it will be included in the price of shipping and there will be text under the amount indicating Delivery Confirmation is included.

Permalink Reply by Marianne LaRoche on March 14, 2012 at 10:24pm Hi all,
Think the delivery confirmation option is wonderful, and I've been asking RL and RP for it for a while, as it gives the seller and buyer a tracking number, and covers paypal protection. Many of the items I ship aren't breakable, and the USP insurance cost is high, assuming they don't lose it. For example, a tablecloth, apron or a hankie. I'm wondering how to set it up so a customer can opt out of insurance and select delivery confirmation instead.
Best,
Marianne
