Has anyone else noticed a very big dip in shop visitors on Sundays for the last couple of weeks?
I am seeing this in both the RL & RP shops

was your stats on shop visitors in the RL reports also much lower for the previous Sunday. Mine has been 2 weeks in a row now
Permalink Reply by Kathy's Vintage Jewels on April 23, 2012 at 9:04am I just checked for last Sunday. My count was pretty much correct according to Google Analytics. Still my shop visitor count was lower than usual.

Permalink Reply by Betsy's Bijoux on April 23, 2012 at 9:47am I think it's the weather. I spent Saturday and yesterday prepping for today's storm and fertilizing trees, digging holes for new trees, moving raspberries and spreading manure - just tons of farm work. Plus hubby was home so he helped remove old heat runs (an ugly job) and I cooked for a couple of days so I could do serious website work.
Hugs,
Betsy
Permalink Reply by 2Hearts Uptown @Ruby Lane on April 23, 2012 at 11:20am I think it is a glitch. Google analytics show consistent visitors over 3 day periods, and displays and clicks were same or higher than previous two days. This one number can't truly be way lower if all other indicators are same/higher.

but the Google Analytics do NOT show a drop...only the actual Shop Visitor reports on RL & RP...so that is why we think it is a glitch on RL rather than an actual drop in shop visitors

But Ruby Lane's Shop Visitor reports shows a huge drop on the last two Sundays for me - 04/22 and 04/15. The other Sundays this month, 04/08 and 04/01, were not lower than normal.

Permalink Reply by San Marcos Art Glass on April 23, 2012 at 11:39pm I haven't noticed it for Sundays in particular when I look at my Google reports, but I have had a large drop in traffic to my shop in the past week. The middle of last week was the worst time interval.
I checked the RL shop visitors and saw yesterday (Sunday) took a big dive, but not the Sunday before. I don't use RL anymore, because the numbers are hard to interpret. They don't seem based on any data I can understand. I noticed some time in the past that some RL clicks can generate multiple click counts. I trust my Google stats more.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Antiques on April 24, 2012 at 5:23pm I notice this on Sundays. About 1/2 of other days but I did get sales so not sure if due to the Ad I won or what?

Permalink Reply by COBAYLEY on April 24, 2012 at 10:00pm My hits dropped by 75 percent on the past Sunday. April 22, 2012. That was the first time I'd noticed that dramatic a drop. Notwithstanding fine weather, outdoor antique fairs, picnics or whatever else someone somewhere can attribute it to, there is no question, something is amiss. My sales have also plummeted. January and February were stellar. March sucked and April is worse.

Permalink Reply by San Marcos Art Glass on April 27, 2012 at 11:17pm Carolyn, are some of the things you sell impacted more than others? I've noticed that auction hammer prices for good art glass on live online auctions are higher right now than they have been in a while. I don't know about ceramics and jewelry, though, since I don't follow them. My traffic in art glass was down last week, but up again this week -- no new sales, though.
