Hi Everyone:

We want to give everyone, both buyers and shops more detailed information regarding Friday's site updates. Below are the current site issues:

1. Strange characters in item descriptions, especially numbers: We are aware of this problem and will have it corrected by end of day tomorrow, November 1st.
2. Item photos displaying the man with camera, or displaying distorted: The good news is that we have corrected the vast majority of photos with this issue. However, any item photos that are still not displaying correctly as of now will need to be re-uploaded. We apologize for this inconvenience.
3. Shipping amount not being included in PayPal totals: We have only had a couple of complaints on this issue, and we are currently looking into it, as we need to determine if this is a Ruby Lane or a PayPal issue.
4. Email newsletters tool temporarily disabled: We know that you are wondering why we have not emailed all shops regarding the above issues. There are two reasons for this: First, in order to keep the site stable during the upgrade, newsletters have been temporarily disabled. Second: Our newsletters are part of the upgrade. They are getting a new look while we also add new features for managing them. We will be able to begin sending newsletters again shortly. You won't see the new look right away, but you will see it soon.

Another Update Planned for Wednesday, November 2nd
Please be advised that there will be another site update on Wednesday. We expect the site to be down off and on throughout the day. We realize that site updates are not fun or convenient for buyers or sellers, however they are a necessity for every e-commerce site, in order to remain up to date, and to allow us to offer important new tools and features on the site in the future.

We appreciate your understanding as we get over this hurdle, and complete the process before the start of the Holiday season.

Thanks Carol.  I just posted something on the "How did this happen" thread about not receiving shipping on a purchase.  I too was wondering if this was a RL issue or possibly a PayPal issue.  Interesting, since the two purchases were from the same client, within a short time of each other, and one had shipping paid and the other didn't.  So I'm letting you know, and if that's what you recommend, I will send a note to CS about it.  Financially, it's not an issue on this, as I would have been combining the shipping anyway, and sending her a refund.  You can see all the details on the other thread.  Thanks so very much!

Yes, correct.

mine happened on RP. The sale was on the 30th of Oct, um yesterday.

The issues we are referring to in the Notice are for both sites, and the site outage scheduled for Wednesday is also for both sites.
Both Anita (San Marcos Art Glass) and I got a message from Barbara in CS that the shipping costs not coming through has been resolved.  Thank you!
What is the situation with the Web Log Statistics Report.  I usually check mine everyday, however, now you have to sign up with Google Analytics to get that information.  I signed up and now I am having problems with the history on my computer!  This happens everytime I sign up with Google for anything!  My computer slows down, takes over my history, etc.  It effects the Cookies on my system.  I have to sign into everything manually, now!  After signing up with Google Analytics, I was accepted, but still can't get into check my daily statistics.  Why did Ruby Lane feel it was necessary to make that change!  If was nice & convenient the way it was!  Thanks! 
Thursday A.M... I can now get into my shop.  Yeah!! But......It  is still very sloooowwwww.   When might things speed up?  Thanks. Judy

Boy the momentum has sure slowed down to nothing.  I feel bad for the 1600 plus shops affected by this change that took longer than expected.  When might the click  reports and other reports be available?
