I thought RL was going to stop tinkering with the site for a while after the first of October... didn't I read that somewhere?
Now when I add items they not only take just a little less than FOREVER to be added to the site's Today's Arrivals page (an ongoing issue), but the Today's Arrival's and This Week's Arrival's links have disappeared from my shop's Home Page, and new items are not added to the total shown in the View All Shop's Items link on the left hand navigation bar. These are new issues too. I'm SO tired of unpleasant surprises in site functionality, when I joined RL it just worked with no problems.
Listen up... It's important to have those links on Home Pages! It's important to have an accurate item count!
I"m having a similar problem. I did write CS about it last Thursday and they said they were referring it to the Tech staff. (See another discussion in Shop Keeper's Corner). Haven't heard anything since then. Even though I added a new item yesterday, nothing shows on the home page for Today's Arrivals. The count for This Week's Arrivals does not show the new addition. The totals on the left don't match what's below the photos. Luckily, new items have been appearing on Ruby Lane's main page as today's arrivals.
The odd thing is that when I look at my shop on my iPhone, everything looks fine. It shows one new arrival and the numbers agree. I know they were concentrating on getting the mobile version working, according to another discussion. Wonder if that has something to do with this.
I just checked my Shop Home Page again and everything now looks correct. How about you?
OH no! Please not again this year during the busiest shopping season! Last year was a train wreck - yes, we got a nice bonus of free listings through December, but holiday traffic was severely lost! Please, RL - don't tinker between now and Christmas! -:O
All is well. It isn't always tinkering, with as many new servers as we now employ to handle all the shops, items, registrations, tools and buyers things appear to get a little 'hinky' at times. We are working hard to resolve the issue once and for all but we will correct the problem as quickly as possible when it does occur. We don't like it either. Carol
A new problem here. I did some power updates last night and none worked. I put some of the older things on sale and removed some of the other features (e.g. make offer) from them before putting them on sale. Still today no changes have been made. The power updates appeared to work smoothly, but the changes never happened. Guess I'll try it again today to see if it works today.
I just did the power update again and it worked today. It must not have been in the mood to register last night.
I have listed the first things to my RL shop today, for the first time in a month. Added them mid day today, two items, and I still have no new arrivals on my shop home page, it's 9.51 PM Central time, so at least six hours ago. My inventory count shows as 181 on my shop home page, but 183 on my inventory page, which would be correct, with the addition of the two new arrivals. I have sent CS a message. I keep sending CS messages it seems, one thing after another, since November last year. So as far as I'm concerned, all is NOT well. In addition, when I sent my email to CS, I got a page that said "we noticed that you may be asking a question about the worth or value of an item." It went on about being unable to offer appraisals. Where THIS came from, I have no idea....My two items do show up now in Today's Arrivals, or at least I found my two items by entering a search phrase for them. However, regular clients visiting my shop would have NO idea whatsoever that I added two new listings. I'm back to my antique show in the morning, I guess I'll see what CS has to say. I'm sure something about the best customer service......

I checked and saw a listing I did this evening was already listed on the front page as "added today." Results among people are certainly not consistent. I, OTOH, am having RL losing the images and formats of the page repeatedly over the day using both Chrome and IE9. I have been working for a few months now, emptying caches and trying to correct what the problem is. I am beginning to think it is not on this end. I hope it is not happening with customers.
Anita, I wish you could come to the show with me too! We would have such fun. Be here by 7.30 tomorrow morning, we'll head up there together!
