Good Morning -
I have been wandering around Pinterest and am confused to say the least -
Can it be used as a marketing tool? Does one create a theme board with things they find on the internet and slip some of the items they are selling onto that board? -
And then - once a board is created how is it seen by others than your followers and perhaps other Pinterest users who happen on it?
Are you using it as a marketing tool? and if so, how?
Thanks to Carolyn for inviting me into this very overwhelming world.

You can use the drop down box to move pins from one box to another. You can delete pins. You can edit pins but if you want to add the price you need to delete the pin and then add the pin back. If not it will not end up in gifts under the pinterest name at top of page. The gift section also has a dropdown box for prices. $1 to $20 etc.
I like to make sure when I add a pin with a price that it ends up there. It will take a few seconds and moves down fast.
Such fun. It is addictive.

Permalink Reply by Ruby Lane on February 21, 2012 at 3:17pm Wow, Cathy, you have some great tips for Pinterest. We are seeing quite a bit of traffic from Pinterest. Good deal. And, it is so easy to do. I had no idea you could highlight the item title, pin, and the title shows up in the description. Pretty cool. You can find the Ruby Lane boards under Ruby Lane and my Ruby Lane boards under my full name - Carol Augustine.

Permalink Reply by Graceful Antiques on February 22, 2012 at 10:35am I am adding quite a bit of items from RL and RP to my boards. I put the shops name and on Ruby Lane. Should I or not add the RL? Sort of redundant as it will show on bottom of the pages where the item is at.
Permalink Reply by Ruby Lane on February 22, 2012 at 11:37am Hi Holly,
There is a little hick up with our boards with the search function. If you put in just the word Ruby in the search box the RL logo should show up - click on it. Or just put this at the end of the pinterest url .... rubylanecom . There is an older Ruby Lane with nothing in it which we need to delete. Carol
Permalink Reply by Ruby Lane on February 23, 2012 at 2:24pm You can find Ruby Lane by entering Ruby Lane in the search field then click on People and you will see the RL logo - click.
Also, I have a couple of questions for Cathy or anyone in the know.
When I do a search for Ruby Lane and then click on 'Pin' ... I see the same exact pins everyday and not many of them. Does anyone know why the page never changes - what am I missing?
Today, I did a search for Ruby Lane and then clicked on 'Boards' - there are no boards listed. Yesterday, there were a few but none were ours. How come?

The FAQ's have very little info. :(

Why aren't my pins with prices showing up in the gifts section?
Permalink Reply by Jan Story on February 24, 2012 at 6:04pm How long after you pinned did you check? They go down FAST - I pinned a pair of earrings and looked in Gifts a couple of minutes later and there were already 16 pins on top of them!

Permalink Reply by Holly Lane Antiques on February 24, 2012 at 6:09pm I know that - but I can't find them even if I go pretty far down -
Now I am wondering it they aren't including them because I am including too many of my own things ???
Permalink Reply by Ruby Lane on March 1, 2012 at 4:14pm Hi Folks,
Can we put our Pinterest Links here? I am working 'my' for Ruby Lane Pinterest boards daily and want to make a TVV Ruby Lane Shop board, but need to find all of you......I have some and some I am not sure if they are Ruby Lane / TVV so I "need a little help from my friends".
