Good Morning -
I have been wandering around Pinterest and am confused to say the least -
Can it be used as a marketing tool? Does one create a theme board with things they find on the internet and slip some of the items they are selling onto that board? -
And then - once a board is created how is it seen by others than your followers and perhaps other Pinterest users who happen on it?
Are you using it as a marketing tool? and if so, how?
Thanks to Carolyn for inviting me into this very overwhelming world.

I am pretty new to Pinterest, but as I look at other people's boards, it seems like too much is... well, TOO MUCH! So, I think learning to delete more often is a good idea.

With lots of boards and pins it makes it difficult to keep updated. I like to do themes and so will move items for like Holidays etc..

I really wonder what this does to our traffic and/or Search engines. Seems even if you delete your pin others still have it on their boards with wrong url or am I wrong on this?

Maybe they could give us this as a gift for the 2 Year Anniversary on Ruby Plaza. Hint, hint...

Permalink Reply by Ruby Lane - Carol Augustine on April 18, 2012 at 12:26pm Hi,
We can't keep the same URL for an item when moving items back and forth between RL & RP because the url of the item contains your shop id as part of the url. Each shop must have its own shop id for many reasons... shop accounting is one of the reasons. And a redirect would require complicated programming with so many redirects and new connections to be made daily. I don't see this happening.I will check to see what happened to your suggestion Cheri.
