Reciprocal Links

So many changes since this last discussed.
Once upon a time I had many links on my shop page. Now not so much.
As an exclusive RL dealer I am wanting to link with other shop dealers.
Does (I may of missed it) RL have a percentage or rule of thumb of how many other RL shops one should link to? What other venues? Independent shops that deal with antiques or vintage or supplies?
Any direction greatly appreciated. I know somewhere on TVV we had a links fest once upon a time. I think we may need another.
I understand how they work but has that changed? I have been very conservative in my links and would like to catch up soon.

I would love to link to your beautiful shop Sandy! I remember hearing that more than 100 links was a bit much. I always had trouble on Ruby Plaza getting the links reciprocated. I guess it is another thing that requires time.

Penni, I couldn't get the links to work either on Ruby Plaza. After I moved to Ruby Lane, I had tried linking my Ruby Lane shop to my TIAS shop, but that wouldn't work either.

Sandy and Penni, I'd like to set up a link with your shops, too, and see if they work.

Sue's - I started to get into adding links on RP because I was asked to participate in an Ambassador Program launched by RP so I had gathered 100's of shops url's that I still have a list of. If I can figure out how to link with friends here I will feel more confident sending emails to webmasters of other shops.

This is something I would like to work on, being new to RL since Nov. I need all the help I can get, however my sales have been good and all this does take time...I'll be working on it!

Would we benefit have a link to TVV even though not reciprocal?

1. I have links to my FB page on my shop. I know some do link to TVV from their shops on RL. I have a banner to TVV from my blog. Anything that helps folks find your lovely items.

2. Sue, I will love to share links.
3. Sue, Tias and RL have never been able to share links or used to not.

I tried to link to TVV months ago but it wouldn't allow it. Said there was no way to get a reciprocal link and that is the key. All links must be reciprocal. I just gave up on it.

I do not think all links must be reciprocal.
You can add links to information sites I am pretty sure.
I thought for sure I also saw someone with a RL shop with a link to here. Hmmm..

I listed my church site which does not have a reciprocal link. I think it can be a way of sharing a bit of who you are.

On Ruby Plaza I had linked my You Tube account so I could show how some things played music etc. as you cannot have HTML on the listing itself.
