What's happening in your shops? Let's add our "happy dance/sad dance" comments here. I did my bit as a buyer, still have fingers crossed as a seller!

I've promoted all over and I'm ready to go... Later this afternoon I might do a little personal shopping:)
Permalink Reply by 2Hearts Uptown @Ruby Lane on May 19, 2012 at 4:24pm Just had a sale from Japan - just morning there. So far, 3 sales for 5 items. I am feeling like all the extra effort I put into marketing, and that RL did to promote as well, seems to be paying off. I think it helped to list things that were frequent fliers on my wish lists.

Permalink Reply by COBAYLEY on May 19, 2012 at 6:42pm One lonely sale and one lonely question...but...I'm not complaining...it goes til tomorrow morning...congrats to those who've had sales...way to go!!
Permalink Reply by 2Hearts Uptown @Ruby Lane on May 20, 2012 at 10:11am Down to the last hour. Just switched to "buyer" mode and bought 2 things. My record so far for RTS is bought 4, sold 4! LOL. Plus two other sales that were not RTS items. I'm pleased, since no sales at all during first 2 RTS. I noticed that personally I did not end up purchasing the higher end items on my wish list, and that seemed true of the items bought from my store as well. I had a few great deals on high end pieces from Sherman, Schiaparelli, Haskell - and they did not get picked up. Is that anyone else's experience as well?
Weren't the last two RTS both Sat AND Sunday?? If so, wonder why the change this time. What is the down side of having it last for the weekend? After all the effort I've put into promoting it, I'd prefer two days for shoppers to buy... unless research shows that the more limited time frame is a bigger motivator and actually produces more net sales. Inquiring minds want to know.

Permalink Reply by MiKollectibles on May 20, 2012 at 2:24pm We had a 'sad dance' day. No sales, no questions...did sell 2 items on RP for the first time in a month. Business has been slow to none this month. Very unusual for us. I did buy a couple of things though :)
Permalink Reply by The Vintage Jewelry Boutique on May 20, 2012 at 2:30pm I had one lonely Red Tag sale :( way off from the last one which I had sold several items. Wondering though if Saturday is not the best day for a sale. Most people are out and about doing their shopping, gardening etc. especially at this time of year. Perhaps a Sunday could be more profitable as I find that my sales are good on Sunday and Monday. Just say'in :)
Permalink Reply by The Old Grey Mare on May 20, 2012 at 2:50pm Well, I'm one for three, no sales this time, only one sale in the other two Red Tags. Sigh....But I did have several non Red Tag sales yesterday, so I'm not complaining. Congratulations to everyone who had success!

Permalink Reply by COBAYLEY on May 20, 2012 at 8:34pm I'm checking in to report 5 RTS. I also had a little flutter of business after the sale ended today and I'm satisfied. I find it interesting, most of my sales were international. Thank goodness for my international customers. Many are repeat..
Last RTS was 2 days...first one was 1 day. I think they are great ideas...I had lots of items looked at and considered. People only have so much money to spend and I can't get it all...lol...but I think I probably picked up a new customer or two...and that's what's important...new interest...
