The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

If any other Ruby Lane shop owners use Pinterest, please post a link to your boards here so we can all follow each other's boards !!!

Also include a link to your Ruby Lane shop so others  can pin items from your shop to their boards.

We can build a consortium of Ruby Lane shop owners and pin each other's items to our boards!

I am signed up on it (a friend forced me :P) but haven't used it much. I might though if I had people to connect to :)

Let me see if I can remember how to get to it.

Only thing I've pinned so far is the Bubble Wrap calender.... which I bought for my sister for Xmas the other day, she is gonna LOVE it!

Oh yay! I remember my password.

I'm registered but have yet to set up on Pinterest, wish there were more hours in the day!  I am sure I will have questions when I get going and guess who I'm going to ask?  Thanks, Cathy, for all this great info!
What is pinterest ?????

It's an awesome (in my opinion) networking site. I find the neatest things there.

I wrote a blog for Notes from the Lane about it:  http://blog.rubylane.com/Pinterest-My-Favorite-New-Social-Networkin...

Do check it out!

To me the positive side of Pinterest is that there is a tool you download to your browser's bookmark bar that says "Pin it". I don't even have to think about it ... if I like something I can just click that "Pin It" button and send it right to my Pinterest page.

And worry about it later.

I'm all about keeping it simple, sweetheart.

How did you down load that? I was trying to find it and all I could find was a button to drag and drop into the toolbar... but it won't drop into mine.

I don't know what browser you use, but I am using Google Chrome and it worked fine. I think I had to close and reopen my browser for it to show.

I watched the video:  http://pinterest.com/about/goodies/

I also have ie on my computer, and if you go to the goodies page, it give you a video and instructions specific to your browser.

Other than that, I don't know, sorry.

My daughter sent me an invite and I did register but,  I do not have anything pinned yet.   Another project in the making,  now I definitely need more days in the week !!

Sandy, it is easier when you receive an invite to join.   Message me your email and I will send you an invitation.

I have asked to join. Waiting for response. It does look amazing. Only hope I do not spend hours on it and forget to list and work my shops.
