Pretty scary...isn't it? But it's hard to know what's alarmist & what's a leak of true info. They certainly are after all our info...but now Google is as well. It is hard with both a public (business) and private prescence I for one would rather have a bit of separation between.

yup...one of the reasons I have opted not to do Google+ as I felt their new policies way too intrusive.

But with fb it is hard...the biz benefit is clearly seen in stats and sales...and being able to reconnect with friends and family that I had never imagined even hearing from again has been wonderful. Guess I will just continue to keep my personal page strictly "friends only" for everything but still, I do find it creepy when I may do a Google search for eg a recipe and then when next I log in to fb, there is something related to that in the ads on the right!!

I had put several good links in private group here Shopkeepers Corner and only a few responded.

My little pea brain can see a boom for lawsuits I would think and much alarm to be honest.

I am already seeing changes yesterday and today with Google  shopping and the url.

Not even sure if I will be able to see some of the sites I go to honestly as I tried to look at some items from a big online antiques mall via the photos on Google shopping and it showed a redirect message. Oyvey to it all.

The capability of limiting free press and manipulation is endless. IMHO.

I think most members forget about ShopKeepers Corner because posts to it don't show on the main page....

I sometimes even forget to check it!

oy vey for sure....nothing stays the same in cyberspace and where sometimes the change is good...sometimes it is just bleh!

I really do wonder if the FTC is going to intervene in the Google privacy thing and also if this fb going public will end up being blocked.

80 percent of Facebook's fans are outside the U.S. and Canada.

Wow!

I may not need that fan page after all.
