Since this date I have started using it. As Linda mentioned you can do things quickly here, and it is good for searches as well. The biggest factor I find here....it's addictive! I enjoy looking at things to pin, seeing what others are sharing, get ideas from it, and since they are clickable to where they came from....I find myself visiting other places to see more of it, and what else they have to show.

I have not started using it, did find a section for vintage? I am signed up there, I just have not taken the time to work with it yet....looks interesting, and a nice way to show products too.

Hello there,

you are able to create categories on Pinterest..there is " other " as the main Pinterest category.

But, on your page, you create the categories, such as vintage etc

:-)

Dear Lilacs, welcome to the Pin Pin addicts club, teeheee

Linda....I need help! I am an addict to too many things, having fun, and cannot find a way to quit........LUV it!!

OMG !!!!!!!!! That Pinterest bug has bit you my friend.

I have wonderful news, you are about to feel more relaxed than ever ...no kidding, if something upsets me or bothers me, I go to Polyvore or Pinterest and forget all about it.

I should have known I would get hooked because I love stuff like this.

Polyvore is like a paint brush on steroids, LOL

And Pinterest is a mall of all kinds of things at your fingertips

Yep, love it all :-)

Polybore?? I have seen that name before some where....yeah, I know you Linda, but really...some where else too. What is it? What do you do there?

Yes, I do relax when at Pinterest, and it is easy to get caught up in it looking at everything. Kind of like looking at a catalog, but only better because it is one thing after another after another, and after another again:)

Polyvore is not for networking, but, people on Polyvore go to Pinteresrt and other sites to clip things to use in their sets.

Sets are like a magazine layout.

If you go to my Pinterest page, look at what I created for the green gown....I clipped the green gown from Pinterest, to my Polyvore list..then created a fashion set.

Members on Polyvore enjoy fashion, home design, and fantasy.

But, here's the deal, when it come to sellers..when Polyvore members use your item in their set, the link to the item follows it.....so, if someone is looking at the set, and likes something they see, they click on the link which is on a list to the side of the sets that takes them to your shop :-)

So, when clipping items to Pinterest, use items that are on plain backrounds ( easier for the person to use in a set ), and put items that have to do with fashion, art, or the home.

I do not network on Polyvore, it is my hobby.

:-)

My goodness, I must apologize, I could have got you in with an invite.

You can pin anyone..it does not matter who is on your friends list.

It's a friendly easy to use site, relax and enjoy it..if you have any questions, email me and I am glad to help.

I ask for direct emails because I have not been active on FB, using only Pinterest and Twitter and this site, The Vintage Village.

But, only checking in on this site once in a while :-)

I am here for you, best wishes, your friend, Linda
