The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

Has anyone attempted or actually taken one of FB's ads out?

It's something we are going to do here for VV but I would love to hear from folks who have tried this and see what it has done in terms of views for you.

I did one, ran it for 2 weeks. It got me a few views, but no sales. Not worth it for me to try again.
I have wondered about doing it and started the process but didn't seem to find out how I would end it - perhaps I didn't go far enough. Also I was not sure if I put low amounts it would be worth it and I just can't invest a lot of money into that at this time. Face Book is not very quick with help

If you join Visa Small Business network you can get a $100 Facebook Ad credit. You then create your ad, which includes determining the keywords and demographics for your audience. We paid per click, which worked really well for us.

I opted to run the ad for my fan page. I figured that one visit to my store vs the on-going visibility in the newsfeed when I post to the page was worth the trade off.

Good luck.
I have been running a FB ad for my FB business page and my likes increased from 40 to 92 in less than a week. I hope it will continue to rise, since it gives more people a chance to see what I am adding to the inventory. I haven't had an increase in sales from FB, but there is increased exposure. In the recent ad I budgeted a lifetime of $150 with the max recommended bid amount. I do recommend it for getting your like count up, though I can't say yet if it helps sales.
I have been running FB ads for my FB business page.  I run targeted ads for a very low budget and pay for exposures.  Given the small amount I'm spending, I think it's worth it.  Most of my FB page Likes are coming from the ads and that gets me ongoing exposure and also the 'social reach' thing where if someone Likes something on my FB page people who see their page also see my link or picture.   So far, I don't think that FB has directly increased sales.  I've even tried running special sales just for my FB fans, but no dice.  I'm hoping that as time goes on that will change.   I think it helps to change up the ad from time to time until you find one that works.  I've seen a big difference with different ads.
