The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

Hello to all, am new to the board.

I have a blue hand vase, unmarked, and I cannot definitively identify maker and date.  I thought that it might be Fenton, but I can't seem to find the color.  Any help would be very much appreciated.  Thank you in advance!

From what I'm finding with a bit of research it appears that it is a match for the shape of the ones Fenton produced.

I believe it may be  the one made by Jain Glass Works

There is an identical one, but in Carnival Glass, in Edwards & Carwile: Std Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass 8th Edn

looking closer at the Jain one...it has a watch on the wrist which your blue one does not seem to have.

so maybe Fenton made a similar one, but without the watch?

There's an article in Angela Bowey's Glass Museum on hand vases at http://www.theglassmuseum.com/glasshandvases.htm. To me, your vase looks more like the Fenton style. I didn't realize before I looked through the blog that there were so many of these made.

Amazing how many different ones there are  isn't it!  I do agree it looks like  a Fenton

I have one of my own, not for sale that I know is very old (c1920s-30s)...I think I see it there in that Glass Museum article.... here is mine

I love the grouping. The colors and heights work so well together.
Thanks so much to all who have replied!
Just found this link to the hand vases. Thank you San Marcos Art Glass for adding it here. Sandy
