I came out my back door as one of the cats was making strange hyper sounds, and found myself almost face to err face with the snake! I grabbed the cat and came inside, then grabbed the camera and photographed it through the screened window. I am pretty sure it's a southern racer, aggressive, with ability to inflict a nasty bite, but not venomous. Still, I will be watering my garden with a bit more of an observant eye from now on lol

When I first saw the flowers in bloom, I was thinking .."where does she live that flowers are blooming?" I, too, long for all those plants that are just popping through the soil to burst with vibrant colors! Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos with us. Rita @ TesoroFino.com

It's the dead of winter here, in Canada...sigh.
I'm dreaming of the days when I can get back into my garden with all it's lovely flowers and herbs, the hummingbirds will return and the butterflies as well.
Oh how I long to sit under the gazebo as the sunlight fades and listen to the frogs begin their evening serenades.

I finally finished the brick work around my fountain, but I am still trying to get the color right on the fountain...it was black, and I really didn't like it...so it has been blue, copper, bronze, and then just a light green over all to try and tone down the glitzy look...the first photo is a frame my husband and I put in a section of lattice in between the sections of picket fence....I really like the way it came out...I had wanted to put a mirror behind it, but it was too much trouble and I don't really think it needed it....If anyone looks at it, let me know what you think...Joanne
