Correct Categorization?

well, this opened up a can of worms, yee haw... lolol

 

Ok this is how it is right now

 

Ruby Lane:

Hair ornaments, ie hair clips, barrettes, tiara's, anything decorative for the hair, go in the Vintage Clothing and Accessories Lane.

Shoe Clips go in the Vintage Clothing and Accessories Lane

Dress clips go under Antique and Vintage Jewelry (unless artisan made). (Cheri, I had a brain freeze on the dress clip thing.)

 

Ruby Plaza:

 For now put items like  hair clips, hair combs, barrettes, etc under Jewelry: Hair Ornaments on Ruby Plaza ... we are going to move the sub-category, 'Hair Ornaments' out from under the Jewelry section on Ruby Plaza and over to the Fashion Section, but this won't happen right away, it just depends on when Tech can get to it.  When we do move it, we will 'most likely' move all the listings under hair ornaments for you, but don't quote me on that just in case I am wrong. This is how we usually handle this type of change but ya neva' know. 

Dress Clips and Shoe Clips go under Fashion on Ruby Plaza.

Yes and what about Hat Pins wouldn't they go under Fashion Accessories also??

thanks for the clarification and yes, I also would like to know re the Hat Pins......

LOL, I added a little BBQ sauce to disguise their 'earthy' flavor.  :)

Hat pins would go under Fashions.

 

This is how it was explained to me: if the item has a function, like a barrette holds your hair back, a hat pin keeps a hat in place,  etc. then these would be Fashion. For things that are decorative but have no function, ie earrings, pendants etc. these would go in Jewelry.

 

No more worms, please.

aha ok that is a pretty clear explanation....

 

so dress/fur clips, being essentially ornamental rather than functional, would be jewelry...

and for example a jeweled scarf ring would be, as with hat pins, ornamental but essentially functional, so would be in Fashion Accessories....

 

hope I got that right :)
