Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

I am pretty sure this scarf is 1980s but want to make sure. Anyone. Possibly we can start a time period thread for help.

That's a good idea Sandy to start a Time Period thread for items we are unsure of.  Now it appears to be from the late 80's but its hard to tell with no name or a closer view of the scarf. It just looks so familar like I saw it recently or remember from a few years back.

Really need a timeline! I am in a sea of 200+ vintage scarves from 3 estates. sorta silly but I was thinking "wait til fall" to list and now I am buried.

Do y'all list in lots? by color? I am thinking this time lots by color, but not sure. they are going on Etsy.

I guess it would depend on the value of the scarf. If you have Vera's I would sell them in 2's or separate and in a color lot, or possibly different color lots to make them all the more desirable.

Then again I would list a few of each together and separate. That is me, I have to make things harder and love doing that! :)

Allure Jacket. Is this 80's?

I found this jacket on etsy but it doesn't give an age???

Thank you. Yes, I see some by this company and some have 80s and some nothing so not sure. I have some I put on RP but trying to move to RL. As they need to be the 20 year rule I am not sure what to do with these iffy ones.

Here is a free place to put your iff'y's

I flat do not have the time at the moment to do any other shop than RL. I will keep this in mind though. thanks. Sandy

Are there people out there that have some knowledge on dating shoes? It's all a big mystery to me as there are so many of the "70's does 40's" etc. Any help would be good as I need to get some educated on these items because I love them and therefore buy them. It would be good to have some basis for my decisions other than "they look like they are from the -------.

I read here not too long ago that shoes aren't a big seller and I would agree that's usually the case but I have to tell you that the last outdoor show I did in May, one customer bought 7 PAIRS !!!! I couldn't believe it. She even came back to see if I had located the mate to one and bought those also. A total fluke that I had a good number in her size. My next show is Saturday, the same venue, I hope she shows up! LOL

Thanks ladies :)
