Hello Chantilly Dreams. Your website is absolutely beautiful and the 17th century Gros Point is amazing.

Comment by Out Of The Attic 2u on July 20, 2012 at 4:45pm Why not put up some photos of your lovely lace. :)

Comment by Chantilly Dreams on July 20, 2012 at 4:41pm Nice to find this group. I am pretty much obsessed with lace, and have been reading everything I can get my hands on about its history LOL... Lace is all over my house, and usually me!!! ;) My absolute favorite treasure is a piece of Gros Point from the 17th century...

Comment by Linens and Things on June 6, 2012 at 5:50pm Hi again Denyse:
The first photo you posted looks like a rectangle lace placemat, and if you could post a photo of one of the corners, or a closeup of the lace, it would be good.
Also, fyi, there is a thread at the top of this column for identification help. Maybe other people would see your question there, too.
Regards, Pat
Comment by Linens and Things on June 6, 2012 at 5:47pm Hi Denyse:
I love your crochet tablecloth. I can see the pineapple design, as in pineapple being the symbol for hospitality.

Comment by Denyse on June 6, 2012 at 1:56pm I have a 33" crocheted tablecloth, the colour is beige "ecru", I believe it to be cotton yarn and it is quite old, it belonged to my husband's grandmother. I'm attaching a couple of pictures.
Can anyone help me identify this.T-CLOTH%20DETAILS.jpgT-CLOTH.jpg
Thank you!
