Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

My collection of lace includes pieces ranging in length from 6" to 16 yards.  I currently have each piece wrapped around a section of cardboard and noted in writing on the card what the length is.

Even though my ultimate goal is to sell the individual pieces, I love having the whole group as a collection.  How do you organize and handle your pieces of lace?

Thank you for this encouragement to organize my lace. Mine is just thrown in a box!!

Hi Linen,

It is always a pleasure to find lovers of what we love.

Most of my laces looks like yours, the large ones lay in drawers separately by style and sizes, others are in boxes, round boxes for round laces, square boxes for square laces. Lol, it makes me laugh, i think that i never told this to anyone.

Best for the week-end

We are delighted that you shared your system here for the first time, for the world to see!! LOL.

But I am really intrigued with the round boxes for round laces, etc.  Is it possible that you would post a photo of how this looks? I think this is so cool.

Thank you Pat,

First of all, I hope you ladies can understand and bare with my english, it can be funny sometimes.

Well, i don't have photos of it, yet, but i may be able to explain a little better.

The round boxes are the same ones used to storage hats and the square ones are just pretty boxes found at stationary stores.  Mine are from TJ Maxx, i bought it in Houston about 20 years a go. Did i say 20 years ? Oh la la i guess i am getting old.

Next week i'll be here to post at least something.

Take care.

Hat boxes are just the ticket! I can see it.

I am going to try it as soon as I get home from my vacation.

God Bless you all.
