The Vintage Village

Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

Hi,
I have Monopoly playing pieces made from a composite material. I was wondering whether anyone knows during what years they were made. One think thing I saw said 1937.  WWII Era makes sense to me because of restrictions on metal use.

I don't think I remember seeing a locomotive as a playing piece in a  Monopoly set.  Do you have more pieces?  The picture appears to be part of a charm bracelet...right?
It is part of a bracelet now, I have an iron, dog, wooden shoe, ship & a cannon plus and elephant. The are all made of the same materials and look like the ones that are metal and made of same composite material as the one I showed.  I am the one who disfigured the train to make a charm.  It came with wooden hotels with Grand Hotel on them and wooden houses, etc.   I believe there is a full set like it with the board on buy it now on ebay.  I am still unclear about the date.  Thanks.

Thanks, I found the information. It was made by Parker Brothers between 1941 & 1946 during metal shortage. They did also use wooden ones during that period
