1940s Vintage Black & Copper Beaded Hat Box Purse
A whimsical handbag sure to catch every woman's eye! This nicely weighted hat box shaped bag features heavy knit black bead work with ruched strips to add dimension. The less common two-toned handles are black and a copper/silver blend. The lid is attached and it's interior is mirrored. The inside is lined in black satin.
This a truly fantastic example of the box purses that became all the rage during the early 1940s owing to the wartime shortage of metals for purse frames.
