Fabulous 19th century, French Napoleon III era, Palais Royal style gilt ormolu and mother of pearl egg sewing etui, complete with original antique needlework tools. The tools include a bodkin, stiletto, thimble, needle case and a pair of embroidery scissors. Sold in the shops of the famous Palais Royal, these sewing etuis are as whimsical as elegant, timeless and beautiful! Large shimmering polished half shells make up the casket, a gildt ormolu framework holds it together and surrounds the base and sides. It stands about 5" tall.
