An exquisite pair of fine, antique English sterling silver sewing scissors with a matching sheath. They are in the blind filigree pattern. They date to just before Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1838. Finding both pieces in this excellent condition is quite rare. They measure 11cm long and 4.75cm across. They are .925 sterling silver, but as they're English they aren't hall marked ~ too early in date (c1835). What a precious find these are!

Comment by Chantilly Dreams on August 5, 2012 at 8:50pm Thanks Daisy Antiques. I try to sneak in my personal Limoges collection when I can ;) It's on a Limoges tray from the late 1800s...on the tray are a hair receiver, what I think is a powder jar, hairpin holder and a trinket box. It's one of my favorite things ;) I love it becayse aside from being beautiful, it's signed by the artist, and has an inscription that it was given as a Christmas gift in 1897 ;)
