This is a Imperial Glass Cobalt Blue Rooster Dish produced by the Imperial Glass Company. It is marked on the inside of the basket and lid with the "I" superimposed over the "G". It was produced in the late 1960's or early 1970's before Lenox bought the company and added a "L" to the mark. The base measures 7 1/4 long x 5 7/8 wide, the top is 6 1/2 x 4 15/16. It is a lovely cobalt blue glass in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage. The color is beautiful. Comment by Live Oak Antiques on September 4, 2012 at 3:44pm My mother in law was quite the collector, she had over 800 covered animal dishes of all kinds when she passed. I used to put all the different colors in my kitchen window as my own kind of stained glass. ;-)
